The universal symbol, the star, is probably the single most popular design chosen by quilters. There are 14 different designs known as Star of Bethlehem and 4 versions with different values of the one design shown above. This pattern has 3 different names too - Star of the Magi and Star of Jerusalem - which are certainly appropriate.
