Fish Quilt Pattern: A Bible Block

"Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land full of great fishes - an hundred and fifty and three." John 21: 1-14

Fish block

Words From Charlotte Bull

The Fish is a Christian Symbol, but it is also a part of several miracles performed by well as the product of the occupation of many of the disciples. So it is a fitting block for a Bible quilt.

The design is sometimes called Goldfish or Fish on a Dish. It is, of course, very similar to a Birds block. To be best interpreted, you will want to alternate colors of fish.

12" block patterns for templates & rotary cutting

Quilting experience is assumed for this New Testament block as there are no specific directions. I suggest you use the templates if you are making a sampler quilt. If you are making a full quilt with this pattern you can use the rotary cutting PDF as a guide but some are not complete.

If you are new to quilting I recommend the Old Testament blocks.
