Printable Wings of Eagles Instructions

I love this Wings of Eagles Pattern. I considered it an advanced block as you need to be very careful in the arrangement. But the rest is not that difficult and the result appears to be more complicated than it really is.

Press between each step shown below pressing toward the darker fabric when possible.

Check the colors you have planned carefully when you do the following steps. Be sure you note which of your fabric corresponds to the fabric I've used in the examples.

Step 1 Sew the smallest triangle to the trapezoid as in the graphic above. Make 4 at each step.

Step 2 add the large triangle as shown above.

DO NOT SEW ANOTHER STITCH until you lay out the pieces as seen on he left. It's very easy to get this part wrong. Yours may be a mirror image of this example but it will still help you arrange your pieces.

Step 3 Sew the other small triangle to the trapezoid as in the graphic above.

Step 4 add the large triangle as shown above.

Step 5 Combine completed sections from step 2 and 4 making four identical patches.

Step 6 combine the top two patches and the bottom two patches.

Step 7 Sew the top half and bottom half together to complete this 4 patch block.
